Misunderstanding the nature of tourist experiences

With the emergence of experiential marketing, the positive customer experience has become funda mental to marketing, hospitality and tourism. However, positive experiences have not been defined.  This study explores how the words often used to define positive experiences may actually prevent  us from understanding them.

Co-Creation Experiences

This study examines the on-site co-creation experience from a tourist perspective. A review of the literature and in-depth interviews with tourists who participated in a ‘swimming with dolphins’ experience are used to explore the importance of co-creation in enhancing attention and the memorability of the experience.
